The Remodel Job that almost killed us...

... and it's still not completely finished. It's very bare. I need some fun accessories, but I'm not going to just "settle". The pictures really aren't that great. The walls really don't seem that bright in real life, and some of the sofa colors look blown out. Oh well, you'll get the idea! The biggest difference is in the fireplace. We cut off some of the old brick and had cultered stone installed over it. This was the one area of the remodel that we weren't able to do compeltely on our own. We started it, but it was taking forever, so we called in the professionals! Mike and his brother framed the soffets and Mike installed spot lighting against the entire wall. They also built the hearth an mantel from scrach...I'm really happy with the way it all turned out. I was the master painter. I don't care if I ever see another paint brush. EVER! We had flat paint, semi gloss paint, trim paint, primer....on every texture known to mankind. But it's done! Mike has his bose surround sound and nice pioneer flatscreen tv. I have my recliner. It's all good.

...cept for the visa bill. That was a doozie!

Jill, this is amazing! It's beautiful, and I love your furnishings. Did you paint the walls texturized or something? It will be fun to accessorize as you find treasures when you are out and about. :)
